In case you hadn’t heard, the San Francisco Giants won the World Series on Monday. This is a pretty big deal in San Francisco – so much so that there was a ticker-tape-style parade earlier today. Some of us went down to check out the action. It was a massive crowd that stretched out over a dozen blocks—it was remarkable to see so many people holding their camera phones up to take pictures.
Seeing all these folks snapping pictures with their phones made me think about how many Hubbers there are out there that carry their camera phones or small point-and-shoot cameras around, ready to capture images of neat things to write Hubs about. I really enjoy reading Hubs that have original and interesting images in them, and with the quality of cameras on cell phones being so good these days and with point-and-shoot cameras being so portable, there are a lot of Hubbers out there snapping high quality pictures on the go.
So, next time you are out and about town and see an interesting scene to write a Hub about or to augment an existing Hub with, be sure to snap a picture with your camera phone or point-and-shoot camera.
I always forget to take a picture! Specially when i am trying to write an article that is when I forget the most and it just makes me mad. Great reminder to us all! Thanks
Yeah that is a great idea and one I am implementing now and compiling original photos of my own, so that I can add them to my existing hubpages…..and get rid of the images that aren’t mine!
I do that all the time. I have tons of pictures that I may or may not use in a hub. You just never know when you need a picture of a flower or a car with some rust on it.
Maybe it would be god to include a direct picture to album application for iPhones/blackberries, then you could easily take images and use them when you create a new hub.
Feel free to give me a minor cut of the profits if that takes off though 😛
