According to Google’s data, searches and social sharing for Super Bowl and Winter Olympics content started picking up in late December. People typically begin seeking out and sharing articles about these kinds of major social events up to 6 weeks in advance.

In fact, Google predicts that the largest spike in interest will occur 2 weeks ahead of the events… in other words, expect these topics to take off starting next week!
