The Perks of the HubPages Earnings Program

Are you signed up for the HubPages Earnings Program? If not, you might want to consider doing so!

Some of the major perks of this earnings option include:

  • Potentially higher earnings (our first group of beta testers earned 50% more from their work)
  • Access to the HubPages Ad Program (responsible for the boost in earnings many Hubbers experience), which features an optimized mix of premium ads from multiple ad partners
  • A lower payout threshold ($50 instead of $100), which enables many Hubbers to enjoy more frequent payouts
  • Multiple HubPages revenue streams paid through one channel (HubPages Earnings Program income includes Ad Program and eBay earnings as well as Apprenticeship Program bonuses and contest winnings)

Though these are compelling benefits, the HubPages Earnings Program is not for those who:

  • Prefer to analyze ad performance through Google Analytics reports
  • Feature AdSense ads on multiple websites and prefer to receive all AdSense earnings through that one channel
  • Are not able to set up PayPal accounts (PayPal is not available in some countries, and is our only means of distributing HubPages Earnings Program payments)

To get a full understanding of how these earnings opportunities work, stop by our official Learning Center guides to the HubPages Ad Program and the HubPages Earnings Program.

We hope you’ll consider signing up (to do so, visit the signup page and follow the step-by-step instructions, which will guide you through submitting tax information and associating a PayPal account).

  1. Hi
I am a nail art and DIY beauty enthusiast. Also, I am Indian citizen. Do I stand a chance here to write articles and earn money. Pls guide me.

    • Hi setu! It takes longer for writers in India to be approved by AdSense (a requirement for the HubPages Earnings Program), but we do have many Hubbers who live in India and do quite well on HubPages.

  2. Hi! I’m a 16 year old from PA. Would I have a chance at making earnings on this website? I have a lot of opinions and things I could write, but I am just wondering because of my age.

  3. I was rejected by Google Ad Sense and when I just attempted to do the Amazon link, NC residents are not eligible. I don’t see how I can make any money from HubPages. Am I doing something wrong? I just started today. I created three hubs and asked one question. I have one follower thus far, but I’m not able to finish any of the earnings settings because of the rejection and of course Amazon not allowing NC residents to participate.

    • I’m sorry to hear that NatNatNC! You’re not doing anything wrong, it seems… it just seems as though you’re off to a tough start. If you just started on HubPages, you may have been rejected by AdSense because you signed up too early. We generally recommend waiting until you have published at least ten original, high-quality Hubs. You might consider re-applying after you’ve reached that point!

  4. Hello, I signed up for AdSense 3 days ago. How long does it take to get a rejection or acceptance email?

    • It really varies, Tyler Thompson! Sorry we can’t give a better response, but AdSense and its processes are entirely outside of our domain. Hold tight, and hopefully you’ll get a response shortly!

  5. Hello, I would like to ask. I don’t have an Adsense account as of now. I only have a Chitika account, can I soley rely on it? Do you that would be enough for me to earn a substantial amount of income?

    • Hello Ian,
I’m afraid a Chitika account won’t help much on HubPages- you’ll need to sign up for AdSense. You can learn more about doing so here: hubpages.com/learningcenter/signup-AdSense
